10/13/17 - Rickett's Glen Camping Trip (See additional pictures in the Troop 352 Website Photo Albums.)

Posted on Oct 18 2017 - 1:04pm

Our Rickett's Glen Camping Trip started off a little soggy as we had a steady light rain on Friday evening.  Fortunately, on Saturday morning the rain stopped for our 5 mile hike on the "Very Difficult" Falls Trail.  Each patrol prepared their own meals included a packed lunch to take along on the hike.  After a long day, everyone sat around the campfires to enjoy a much needed rest........

October 13 to 15 – Camping and Hiking at Rickett’s Glen

This is a camping weekend at Rickett’s Glen State Park.  The park’s main attraction is a loop trail that takes hikers past over a dozen named waterfalls along the trail.  For this outing, we will be departing from the Lehigh Valley on Friday evening and staying in a group campsite through Sunday morning, with an estimated return time of early Sunday afternoon.  Our outings usually end with time enough for us to make one of the masses on Sunday morning, although for this trip, I will find some opportunities to make it to mass close to Rickett’s Glen.   The reason for this is our travel time for the return puts us in danger of not making mass here at home.

09/11/17 - Patriot Day and flag ceremony at Hanover Township

Posted on Sep 4 2017 - 12:39am

Hello Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Venture Scouts,

Patriotism is a value reinforced by Scouting, so please consider attending Remembrance events in your community.

Hanover Township will again hold a Patriot Day and flag ceremony.  This was created as an Eagle Scout project back on September 11th, 2002.

On Monday, 9/11, it will be held at 6:15pm at Hanover Community Center, 3660 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem 18017.  Please arrive no later than 5:45pm as there are flags that the community drops off that need to need to be folded and other aspects that need some help. The ceremony normally lasts about 1 hour and there is time for fellowship and refreshments afterward.

Full Class A uniform is the uniform for the day. Please come to help remember all of those who lost their lives that day, including those who worked in the World Trade Center, those who boarded planes in different cities and those who gave their lives in service to others trying to save the victims.  Thank you.

If your unit isn’t from the Bethlehem area, you're welcome to attend and participate.  However, if you cannot travel, please find a similar event close to your home in which to participate!
